ELCOME to VASH BASH, designed to highlight many of the mishaps and mismanagement of the VASH program originally created to assist and reduce homelessness numbers amongst veterans. Primarily, I’ll share my own experience as well as observations as a participant in this program. Many veterans are returning from service to only linger in obscurity and be used as pawns in pseudo patriotic rhetoric if not just being outright vehicles to profiteers as veterans continue to be a secondary thought if lucky, in a country they signed up or drafted to defend.
I would like to create dialogue with those who find this as both a shame and a risk to the morale of those constantly sent abroad to defend others particularly the corporations whom refuse to participate by flying their logos abroad in other lands avoiding the assistance to strengthen the economical, physical and psychological infrastructure of the country enriching their coffers.
